Passivhaus designer
The RIBA Passivhaus Overlay, published by the RIBA in 2022, defines a Passivhaus designer or Passivhaus consultant as: ‘An accredited person who works as a part of the design team. With specific attention to Passivhaus related matters, their role is to support, oversee, advise, and check the design and construction process, where necessary liaising with stakeholders, the design and construction teams, and the Passivhaus Certifier. A qualified person is given the title Passivhaus Designer if they hold an additional design qualification (e.g. is an architect); otherwise, they are given the title Passivhaus Consultant.”
